Engineering Master Degree

M.Sc 1 – deepening and broadening

The second year of the engineering program is composed of two semesters. In the first (S7), students choose between three pre-specializations to deepen their knowledge, in the second (S8), they are invited to either individualize their knowledge or broaden their perspectives by choosing between seven specializations and academic mobility.

Semester 7 – pre-specializations

The objective of this semester is to:

  • Mobilize scientific and technological knowledge specific to a large thematic area corresponding to a professional field (agricultural production, product processing, natural resources management)
  • Be able to mobilize knowledge within the framework of a project approach to respond to their first professional assignment
  • Be able to move towards an S8 specialization (at Montpellier SupAgro or through academic mobility) in view of joining a 3rd year option with the sufficient prerequisites
  • Ability to communicate fluently in French and English (written and spoken).

Semester 8 broadening perspectives and specializing

The objective of semester 8 is to:

  • Discover and learn new fields to build a profile of diverse skills
  • Continue to prepare for a specialization in year 3 (M2).

Students have a choice between seven specializations (tracks) and academic mobility at a partner university and the course.
