You should plan your budget for your stay in France. Here are some guidelines to help you assess how much you are likely to spend upon arrival and on a daily basis.


During your stay in Montpellier, you will need to spend from €700 to €1,000 per month on personal and daily living expenses, in addition to your training programme fees.


Accomodation

• Montpellier SupAgro residence hall

€300 to €518per month, all utilities charges included, depending of the accomodation size (12 to 30m²)
Add, only for the 1st month, the security deposit beteewn €229€ and €459 depending of the accomodation size

• Average rent of a studio (20 m²)

€350 per month (plus utilities and deposit...)

 

Personal expenses

Food, clothing, transport, housing insurance...

€400 to €600 per month

 

Social security

Social security becomes free for everyone and without age limit.

Every student must pay the €91 Student Life Contribution and Campus (CVEC) before registering in Montpellier SupAgro. You will be helped when the administration informations in case there is a problem.

 

Private health insurance

Affiliation is not mandatory.

Rates depending on age, between €120 and €700 per year
possibility to take only a few months

 

Resident permit

€269 per year for PhD student

A team is at your disposal to give you advice about opening a bank account, taking out an insurance policy adapted to your situation, and the steps to follow to obtain a residence permit.

The information provided will allow you to calmly begin your training programme and meet announced deadlines.
